Terms and Conditions of Sale

The seller is referred to as “Solange Stories”, “we”, “us”, or “the Seller”.

 

 

2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made on the Shopify website operated by Solange Stories, including:

  • Art prints (standard catalogue products)

  • Custom portraits and custom illustrations (on quotation)

  • Signature “Solange Stories” commissions

  • Bespoke creative or branding projects

By placing an order, the customer confirms acceptance of these Terms.

 

 

3. Products

3.1 Art Prints

Art prints are available in various sizes and may be offered framed or unframed.
Visuals are representative; slight variations in color may occur due to screen settings and printing processes.

Most prints are produced on demand by a third-party production partner (currently Gelato), which handles printing and logistics on behalf of the Seller.

The sales contract remains between the customer and Solange Stories.

 

 

3.2 Custom Illustrations (Service-Based)

Custom portraits, signature “Solange Stories” format, special occasion artwork, and bespoke projects are provided upon quotation and invoiced as a service.

Unless otherwise agreed, custom commissions are delivered as high-resolution digital files.

 

 

4. Orders

Orders are placed directly via the Shopify website.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact information.

Once production has started, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.

 

 

5. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in euros (€).

VAT not applicable – article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (if applicable to your micro-enterprise status).

Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment providers.

Orders are processed only after full payment has been received.

 

 

6. Shipping and Delivery

Art prints are produced and shipped via our production partner.

Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed.

Solange Stories cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, force majeure, or incorrect customer information.

Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery.

 

 

7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

In accordance with EU consumer law, customers located in the European Union have the right to withdraw from a standard (non-personalized) purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

To exercise this right, the customer must notify Solange Stories by email within 14 days.

The product must be returned unused, in its original condition and packaging.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the item is defective.

Refunds are issued after inspection of the returned item.

 

 

8. Exceptions – Personalized and Custom Products

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Personalized or custom-made products

  • Custom portraits or commissioned artwork

  • The “Solange Stories” signature format

  • Any digital custom file once work has begun

Once a custom commission has started, the customer expressly waives their right of withdrawal where applicable.

Custom projects are non-refundable once production has started, except in case of proven defect.

 

 

9. Damaged or Defective Products

If an item arrives damaged or defective, the customer must notify us within 7 days of delivery by email at contact@solangestories.com and provide:

  • Order number

  • Clear photos of the product and packaging

  • Description of the issue

Depending on the case, we may offer:

  • A free replacement

  • A refund

 

 

10. Custom Commissions – Process

Custom illustration services are subject to quotation and agreement.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • One refinement round is included

  • Delivery is digital (high-resolution file)

  • Additional formats may be requested

  • Printing can be arranged at extra cost

Pricing is confirmed before work begins.

 

 

11. Intellectual Property

All artworks remain the intellectual property of Solange Stories.

The purchase of a print grants the customer a personal-use right only.

Custom illustrations grant personal-use rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Commercial use requires a separate written agreement and licensing fee.

 

 

12. B2B Sales

For business clients (including future sales on platforms such as Ankorstore):

Specific invoicing terms, payment conditions, and commercial rights may apply and will be defined in a separate agreement or quotation.

Unless otherwise agreed, B2B sales do not benefit from consumer withdrawal rights.

 

 

13. Liability

Solange Stories cannot be held responsible for:

  • Minor color variations

  • Delays caused by third-party carriers

  • Customer-provided errors (address, spelling, etc.)

Liability is limited to the amount paid for the product.

 

 

14. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

Payment data is handled securely by Shopify and its payment partners.

 

 

15. Consumer Mediation

In accordance with French law, consumers have the right to access a consumer mediation service.

The European Online Dispute Resolution platform is also available.

 

 

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law.

For consumers, mandatory protections of their country of residence may apply.

 

 

17. Updates

Solange Stories reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
The applicable version is the one in effect at the time of order.
